In Living Spirit:
Mindful Somatics

Megan Living Stone is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and a deliberate creator. Megan graduated with honors from a 1,000 hour plus program at Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2005, one of the best massage training schools in the country.  She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Albany University, but her main passion for the last 10 years has been the Healing Arts.  Megan has studied energy wisdom with many master teachers.  She was able to apprentice for three years with Don Alverto Taxo, a medicine man/shaman from the High Andes of Ecuador.  Megan has made spiritual pilgrimages to Ireland, Scotland, Ecuador, Peru, Columbia, India, Canada, and Thailand, to experience the ways other cultures heal and grow.  She brings an eclectic background of studies to her bodywork sessions.  Integrative, mindful somatic clients have said their bodywork sessions have felt like a dance on their bodies that brought deep healing and transformation.

While in Thailand, Megan studied a bodywork practice called Chi Nei Tsang.  Chi Nei Tsang is a type of internal organ massage.  Chi Nei Tsang was practiced by monks in ancient China to detoxify and maintain balanced energy flow of the internal organs, to compliment and achieve the highest levels of spiritual practice. The abdominal region where most of our major organs are housed is considered to be the energy and emotional center, and 'second brain' of our being. Mantak Chia, the Taoist master who introduced Chi Nei Tsang to America 20 years ago, teaches that any blockages in the organs will slowly leak to all of our systems effecting our whole health and life force. Chi Nei Tsang begins to clear the toxins in all of our systems by clearing negative energy, blocks, and knots in the organs with gentle massage and energy medicine. This restores vitality to our organs and life center of our being. Most bodywork practices address the organs remotely but Chi Nei Tsang goes as close to their essence as permits, and invites a transformation to occur that brings greater vitality to our whole being. To experience Chi Nei Tsang, call for an appointment.

Megan is also very excited to now offer LaStone bodywork.  It is the application of hot and cool stones, the bones of the earth, to the body.  Mary Nelson the founder of LaStone and her profound healing experiences during LaStone sessions are a couple of reasons why Megan decided to become a massage therapist.   Working with the stone people in this way is a dream come true, and the hope is too that you will also enjoy this bodywork as much as Megan enjoys giving it and receiving it.

A massage and bodywork session with Megan promises to be over flowing with profound intention and divine love.  The invitation is to come experience your sacred body in a whole new way.

Megan is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA ), and the AMTA sports massage team in Colorado.  In addition to her private practice, Megan loves working with athletes and weekend warriors to help them achieve their performance goals and maintain the highest overall health.

In June 2008, Megan will be guiding a group on a spiritual journey to Peru.  To learn more details about this exciting adventure visit: www.sacredspiritualtravel.blogspot.com
